Zōfuku-ji Temple
In Ueda-cho, there is a place called Dō no Tsuji (the crossroads of temples), and the Zōfuku-ji temple is in the nearby. According to the tradition handed down, Hatakeyama Yoshifuka, who was the protector of Kawachi in the Muromachi period, died in this neighborhood after he had retired, and this temple was built to pray for his soul to rest in peace. The small temple in the precincts keeps a wooden statue of the Eleven-faces Kanon Bosatsu, which is an Important Work of Art Certified by the National Government.
